Guide on Updating Firmware for LE-8200

Latest firmware add “User defined translation function” which can translate frame data at specified position to the characters or numbers. It is useful to analyze the unique protocol format.

1. Models need to be upgraded

Analyzers of the former versions, moreover if the analyzer needs functions, improvements, and fixed contents added by the latest version.

2. Upgrade Information

• Add the function of User defined translation function in which users can translate frame data at specified position to the characters or numbers.
• Improve the ASYNC “Frame end code” until maximum two characters (“don’t care” is available).
  Therefore, users can divide the frame by CR(6Dh) or LF(0Ah), and add the time stamp for 1 character by specifying “don’t care”.
• Improve the processing speed of RS-485 driver control when RS-530 driver is “Auto”.
• Correct the bug of processing the communication condition for Auto-configuration.
• Correct the bug of freezing when stopping the Auto-configuration.
• Adjust the timing of I2C stop condition when using OP-SB85.
• Correct the bug of display massage.

3. How to update latest firmware

Please read “LE8FIRM_E.TXT” recorded on CD-ROM attached to the analyzer, and transfer the latest firmware to the analyzer.
