1. Outline
    Thank you for your purchase of LINEEYE portable communication analyzer.
　  This software is for upgrading the firmware for your analyzer from the PC.

2. Appropriate models
      LE-8200 / LE-3500 / LE-2500   

==================================================================================
3. Preparation

3-1. If using the AUX port for the connection
　　(1) Connect the AUX port of your analyzer to the COM port of the PC using the 
	AUX cable (LE2-8V).

　　(2) Set the communication conditions of the AUX port for your analyzer.
　　　　Speed:115200/230400, Data bit:8, Parity:None, X-control:OFF
　　　　（Set the same speed as PC setting.）

　　(3) Execute the "Le8firm.exe" and set "Serial port" and "baudrate".
        "Serial port": Select the COM port (COM1-COM99) of the PC which connects 
		      to your analyzer.
        "baudrate"   : Set the same transmission speed being set in your analyzer.


3-2. If using the USB port for the connection
　　(1)Install the USB driver in the PC
　　  　（This procedure is for Windows XP. It is almost same for Windows 2000 as this.）
  
       1) Connect the USB ports of your analyzer and the PC.

       2) Turn on the power of your analyzer.

       3) "New Hardware Wizard" will start to install the USB driver.
          Select "No, not this time" for the question of "Can Windows connect to 
	Windows Update to search for software?".

       4) Select "Install from a list or specific location" for the question of 
	"What do you want the wizard to do?".

       5) Select "Search for the best driver in these locations" and mark on "include this 
	location in the search". Select the folder that contains the USB driver file.

       6) Click "Continue Anayway" for the question of "has not passed Windows Logo testing 
	to verify its compatibility with Windows XP".

       7) Click "Finish" when you find the message, "Completing the Found New Hardware".

　　(2) Execute "Le8firm.exe". Select "USB" for Method and input the serial number.

4. Transfer the firmware

   Install the latest firmware from our webpage.

　　(1)	Turn off the power of your analyzer.
　　　 LE-8200	       ：Turn on the power of your analyzer while pressing [Shift] and [File]
　　　 LE-3500, LE-2500：Turn on the power of your analyzer while pressing [SHIFT] and [LOAD/SAVE].

　　(2)  Le8firm 
　　  1) Click［Next].
　　  2) Click [Select] and select the firmware file (...FW2)
　　  3) Click [Next] and confirm whether your analyzer works with the AC adaptor.
　　  4) Click [Start]and start the transmission. 
      5) "Complete" message will be appeared.
      6) Click [Close].

　　　　***********************************************************************
        *  Never turn off the power of your analyzer while transfering the    *
　　　  *  firmware. Otherwise, transfering program many not be completed     *
　　　  *  correctly and you may need to send back your analyzer to LINEEYE.  *

    (3) Turn off the power of your analyzer. Then turn on the power of your analyzer 
	again and it will run by the latest firmware.

　　Windows 2000/XP/Vista

　　*　It will display in Japanese if you are using Jpanese Windows. Anything else 
	will display in English.
