LINEEYE Co., Ltd. released a new firmware (V1.14) for the line monitors LE-8500X/LE-8600X series. If you have been using the ex-version, please update it to the latest version.

1. Added the slice capture function (LE-8600X/LE-8600XR)
   

   The slice capture function captures only the first 60 bytes of an Ethernet frame, reducing capture loss during high traffic periods and saving on capture buffer and external storage usage. Even when used on a line that carries data containing confidential information, most of the payload is not recorded, preventing the leakage of confidential data.

2. Added the BERT function (LE-8500X/LE-8500XR/SB-GE2)
   

   BERT (Bit Error Rate Test) is now available. It measures the bit error rate of the test target using a test pattern.

3. Added the RCF2544 function (LE-8500X/LE-8500XR/SB-GE2)
   

   RFC2544 for network device performance testing. You can perform throughput tests, latency tests, frame loss rate tests, and back-to-back tests that comply with the RFC2544 for network device performance testing.
